More than 20 years have passed since the first membrane reactors were proposed.
Although many of the underlying principles of these unique reactors have been studied, membrane reactors are still in their infancy in practical technological fields.
Many new ideas are expected to emerge in the coming years and the organizers would like to take this opportunity to invite both researchers and industrial members to an informal, yet structured, post ICIM10 symposium on catalytic membrane reactors.
The conference will be held at HOTEL Brush Up (Gotemba, Shizuoka, http://www.gotembakogenresort.jp/).
In this symposium, we hope to vigorously discuss concepts and the future status of membrane reactors and also to provide participants with an up-to-date status of this emerging field.
Please join us at the inspirational site of Mount Fuji (Fuji-san), just west of Tokyo to have frank discussions on the realization of catalytic membrane reactors for the future industrial development.
Mt. Fuji is a world-famous landmark and a well-known symbol of Japan, as a volcano of low activity that is surrounded by five exquisite lakes and part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. The aim of "Catalytic Membrane Reactors at Mt. Fuji" as the post ICIM10 conference is to provide an inspirational atmosphere for brain-storming ideas and applications of membrane reactors as well as a period of reflection of ICIM10 results.
The technical program of the symposium will include a) keynote lectures and contributed papers for b) oral and c) short oral presentations, in the following areas:
- Materials and Structure
Porous / Dense / Zeolite/ Inorganic / Polymer / Composite
- Reactor Configuration
Packed-bed reactor / Catalytic Membrane / Microreactor / Photocatalytic Reactor / Electrochemical Reactor / Others
- Target Reactions
Reforming / Dehydrogenation /Hydrogenation / Partial Oxidization / Synthesis of Chemicals/ CO2 Emission Control / Fuel Cell / Others
- New Concepts
Design / Functions / Combinations / Applications
IMPORTANT!!
Please note that the number of participants in "Catalytic Membrane Reactors at Mt. Fuji" is limited to 45 persons, including accompanying persons, so register quickly to reserve a spot.
